British Association of Landscape Industries
Achieving Full Contracting Membership of BALI is no mean feat. There is a rigorous initial vetting process involving visits to the contractor’s recent projects or sites, references, scrutiny by the Association’s officers of the contractor’s accounts and business practices, and the contractor’s commitment to abide by the BALI Code of Conduct. Once accepted the contractor must submit to a regular Quality Standards Review to ensure the worth of the BALI logo is in no way diminished by members whose standards drop. The Bawden Group has been a Full Contracting Member of BALI since 1992 and is proud to display its logo.
Institute of Groundsmanship
The IOG is the leading professional organisation for grounds management, recognised by the national governing bodies for sport in the UK for its industry knowledge and technical expertise. The Bawden Group has long been providing advice to local authorities, schools and other organisations with sports pitches on turf and pitch care, supported by knowledge acquired through practical experience and membership of the IOG.
Arboricultural Association
The Bawden Group is a Corporate Member of the Association, which exists primarily to advance the study of Arboriculture and to raise professional standards. In an industry where poor workmanship is both immediately visible and potentially dangerous, membership of the Association ensures Bawden Group tree surgeons receive up to the minute information on skills and health and safety training to ensure their work complies with all necessary legislation and uses the most current techniques.
