Bawden Group wins major GM contract

Wiltshire based BALI contractor Bawden Group has been awarded the Grounds Maintenance contract for a further three defence establishments by its client Serco.

Bawden Group already maintains the prestigious Defence Academy, Shrivenham, for Serco and the three additional sites across the South of England will bring the overall contract value to around £600,000. Bawden Group Director Richard Stone believes that winning the additional sites is a vote of confidence in the work the company already undertakes for Serco:

“There was strong competition for these sites but I believe Bawden Group has demonstrated its commitment to providing a very high standard of maintenance and customer satisfaction over a number of years. This, together with a very comprehensive and workable tender, tipped the balance in our favour. We are all delighted to be expanding our relationship with a much valued client.”

Weed control is an important part of the grounds maintenance regime on all four sites and Bawden Group has invested in state of the art spraying equipment to fulfil Serco’s requirements. It now operates a specialist division to provide this service to other customers.
