Following on from recent success in achieving ISO 9001:2000, Bawden Contracting Serivces Ltd has now achieved accreditation with Constructionline.  This gives prospective purchasers comfort that the company has met specific criteria regarding financial standing, systems and health and safety.  As with ISO 9001:2000 this is a major achievment for the company that gives potential advantage in being selected for tenders

June 2007

Bawden Contracting Services Limited has been awarded ISO9001:2000, after a complete review of it's systems and procedures by Quality Assurance Manager, Paul Tomlinson.  Paul worked in conjunction with Ian Potentier of Southern Management Systems Ltd on achieving the standard, which has been deployed across the whole business.

April 2007

PRiDE (SEC) Ltd, part of Southern Electric Contracting Ltd has awarded Bawden - Plain Trees and Forestry a five year arboricultural survey and tree management contract at various locations across the South West.  The sites include the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst and the European Weather Station at Shinfield near Reading.   The company will be investing in a new computer software system to collect and maintain the survey findings, this system will also provide customers with comprehensive  and detailed reports on all trees and woodland across their estates.

Bawden - Grounds and Estate Maintenance have taken delivery of a new Wiedenmann Terra Spike XP8/210 to assist with aeration and maintenance of sports surfaces on a number of sites throughout Southern England.  The equipment was supplied by T H White Ltd of Tetbury and supplied with a number of accessories that will enable different customer needs' to be accommodated.  The Terra Spike is also available for hire to sports clubs and local authorities throughout Wiltshire and Hampshire, it is provided with fully trained operator and tractor on a daily or weekly basis.  Enquiries regarding the hire of the Terra Spike should be made through the company's Amesbury office.

Richard Bawden and Richard Stone attend a presentation ceremony to mark Bawden - Plain Trees and Forestry achieving approved contractor status with Hampshire County Council's 'Buy With Confidence Scheme'.  The presentation was made at the Council's offices in Winchester, Richard Bawden, Company Director, said afterwards "Bawden - Plain Trees and Forestry are very pleased and proud to have been accepted onto the scheme, it is a very positive approach by the Council to promote professional and reliable businesses to the residents of Hampshire".

Bawden - Plain Trees and Forestry achieves approved contractor status within Hampshire County Council's 'Buy With Confidence Scheme', which is operated by the Trading Standards Team.  The process involves a comprehensive vetting procedure and commitment on our part to provide a fair and honest trade service.  In return Hampshire County Council Team support the business and provide details of the services available through their own web site.  Please see our Links page for further details on this scheme and the opportunity to provide feedback.

Bawden - Grounds and Estate Maintenance has been successful in being awarded a multi-discipline grounds maintenance contract on the 740 acre estate at the Defence Academy, Shrivenham.  The company will be working with Serco Defence and Aerospace to provide a complete range of grounds maintenance services across the estate, potentially for the next seven years.  Works will include woodland and waterway management, sports grounds maintenance and general care of the amenity areas.

Bawden - Plain Trees and Forestry have been successful in tendering for arborial and vegetation management services throughout the South West of England as part of a framework agreement.  The first batch of work to be completed was on the River Were at Warminster, followed up by further works on Bure Brook in Christchurch.  For further details click here.
